This typically outstanding wine is grown in a 'special part of The Elms Vineyard in front of the winery', which has the oldest vines. The very youthful 2019 vintage (4.5*) was matured for 16 months in seasoned French oak barrels (avoiding the use of new oak), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Bright, light lemon/green, it is a Chablis-like wine, with strong, citrusy, slightly appley and peachy flavours, showing excellent delicacy, a gentle oak seasoning, firm acid spine, and a long finish.
