Eight Ranges Trail Rider Central Otago Pinot Noir (2018)

Delicious young, the 2018 vintage (4*) from this Alexandra-based producer was matured in French oak (24 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is fragrant and full-bodied, with ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, nutty, savoury notes adding complexity, and gentle tannins. An elegant, youthful red, it should be at its best 2021+.
