Grown in the upper Waihopai Valley, the 2018 vintage (4*) is a single-vineyard red, hand-picked, matured for 11 months in two oak barrels (one new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. It has light, slightly developed colour. Fragrant, with a hint of herbs, it is savoury, with moderately concentrated cherry and spice flavours, and nutty notes adding complexity. It's already quite open and expressive.
