Still unfolding, the 2019 vintage (4*) was hand-picked at Maraekakaho and matured for 10 months in French oak puncheons and 'cast-stone, egg shaped tanks'. Deep, bright ruby, it has a fragrant, spicy, slightly herbal bouquet. Fresh, lively and smooth, with generous berry, plum and spice flavours, vibrant acidity, and some savoury complexity, it should be at its best for drinking mid-2021+.
