Delta Hatters Hill Marlborough Pinot Noir (2019)

The 2019 vintage (4.5*) is a savoury red, grown in the Southern Valleys. Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling and fruit-packed, with strong berry and spice flavours, showing good complexity, fine-grained tannins and obvious potential. The 2018 vintage (4.5*) is a highly attractive red, matured for 10 months in French oak barriques (30 per cent new). Ruby-hued, it is fragrant, sweet-fruited and savoury, with youthful cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent depth and complexity, and supple tannins. Best drinking 2021+.
