Offering outstanding value, the debut 2018 vintage (4.5*) was grown in the Gimblett Gravels, Hawke's Bay, and matured for 14 months in oak barriques (new and one year old). Richly coloured, with fresh, spicy aromas, it is mouthfilling and vibrantly fruity, with concentrated, plummy, spicy flavours, finely integrated oak, good tannin support, and obvious cellaring potential. A distinctive, youthful wine, it should be at its best 2021+.
