Clos Henri Marlborough Pinot Noir (2016)

From Henri Bourgeois, a top Loire Valley producer with a site near Renwick, the 2016 vintage (4.5*) was hand-picked and matured for a year in French oak casks (25 per cent new). Ruby-hued, with a hint of development, it is fragrant and sweet-fruited, with cherry, spice, herb and nut flavours, complex, savoury and supple. Drinking well now, it's certified organic.
