Churton Marlborough Pinot Noir (2016)

Estate-grown at an elevated site in the Waihopai Valley, hand-harvested, fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 18 months in seasoned French oak barriques, this is 'a delicate, refined' Pinot Noir, according to winemaker Sam Weaver. The ruby-hued 2016 vintage (4.5*) is mouthfilling and savoury, with moderately concentrated, ripe cherry, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent complexity and harmony, and a finely textured, lingering finish. Certified organic.
