Typically a great buy, with greater richness and complexity than most $27 Chardonnays. Fresh and youthful, the 2019 vintage (4.5*) is a mouthfilling, sweet-fruited wine, hand-picked, mostly in the Tuki Tuki Valley, and fermented and matured for 11 months in French oak barrels (19 per cent new). Bright, light yellow/green, it has generous, ripe stone-fruit flavours, toasty and mealy notes adding complexity, balanced acidity and good potential. Best drinking 2022+.
