The 2018 vintage was tasted in July 2020, before it was bottled, so is not rated. Estate-grown in the Redstone Vineyard, in the Bridge Pa Triangle, Hawke's Bay, it was matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (34 per cent new). Dark and full-bodied, with pure, ripe blackcurrant-like flavours and supple tannins, it looked brimful of promise.
