Brancott Estate Reflection Limited Edition Marlborough Pinot Noir (2015)

The 2015 vintage (5*) is Pinot Noir on a grand scale. Hand-picked from 15-year-old vines in the Brancott Vineyard, it was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (36 per cent new). Deeply coloured, with a fragrant, slightly earthy bouquet, it is powerful and sturdy (14.4 per cent alcohol), with concentrated cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, very harmonious, rich and supple. Delicious now, it should break into full stride 2021+.
