The distinctive 2017 vintage (4.5*) is a youthful blend of Syrah (50 per cent) and Cabernet Sauvignon (40 per cent), with small amounts of Merlot and Malbec. Matured for a year in French oak barriques (100 per cent new), it is deeply coloured, fragrant and full-bodied, with good density of blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, hints of olives and herbs, savoury, nutty notes adding complexity, and good tannin backbone.
