The 2018 vintage (4*) was grown in the Wrekin Vineyard, in the Southern Valleys, hand-picked and 50 per cent barrel-fermented. Made from 'lightly botrytised' grapes, it is a fresh, medium-bodied wine, attractively scented, with rich, ripe, peachy, slightly honeyed flavours, abundant sweetness (108 grams/litre of residual sugar), balanced acidity, and a smooth finish. A gentle, very harmonious wine, it's a drink-now or cellaring proposition.
