From 'great fruit in perfect condition', the 2019 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Brightwater and matured in French oak barriques (one and two years old). A powerful, youthful red, it has deep, purple-flushed colour. Full-bodied, it has fresh blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing excellent ripeness and depth, a gentle seasoning of oak, lively acidity, and supple tannins. Worth discovering.
