Unfolding well, the 2018 vintage (4*) is a rich, smooth wine, hand-picked in the Wairau Valley and fermented and aged for eight months in French oak puncheons. Mouthfilling, it has strong, ripe stone-fruit flavours, gently seasoned with toasty oak, a hint of butterscotch and a slightly creamy texture. Good value.
