Still extremely youthful, the outstanding 2019 vintage (5*) was estate-grown, hand-picked and matured for 11 months in French oak barriques (33 per cent new). Dark and purple-flushed, it is a powerful, vibrant, sweet-fruited wine with dense, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing good complexity, and firm but not grippy tannins. It should mature well for a decade.
