Grown in the elevated, inland Plateau Vineyard, at Mangatahi, the 2017 vintage (4*) was matured for nine months in French oak barriques (18 per cent new). Bright ruby, it is floral and mouthfilling, with strong, vibrant plum, spice and nut flavours, and fine-grained tannins. Still very youthful, it should be at its best 2020+.
