Enjoyable from the start, the 2017 vintage (4*) is a single-vineyard wine, grown at Maraekakaho. Fragrant and fleshy, it has strong, ripe stone-fruit flavours to the fore, hints of spice, ginger and toast, gentle acidity, and a dry, creamy-smooth finish. The 2018 vintage (4*) is still very youthful. Fresh and full-bodied, it has strong yet delicate peach and pear flavours, slightly spicy and clearly varietal, with a dry finish. Best drinking mid-2019+.
