Grown at Kerikeri, this Northland wine is impressive in favourably dry seasons ? sturdy, with concentrated, ripe sweet-fruit flavours, well seasoned with toasty oak, in a typically lush, upfront, creamy-smooth style. The 2017 vintage (4*) was hand-harvested, fermented and matured in French oak barriques, and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. Pale straw, it is weighty and creamy-textured, with a hint of butterscotch and rich, peachy, buttery, toasty flavours. A ‘forward’ vintage, it’s ready to roll.
