Closed with a crown seal, the organically certified 2015 vintage (3.5*) was hill-grown in the Tuki Tuki Valley and held for two weeks on its skins. Fermented with indigenous yeasts, it was lees-aged for six months, and bottled unfined and unfiltered. A golden, full-bodied, dry wine with ripe tropical-fruit flavours, it impresses with its weight and depth, rather than vibrancy or complexity. A ‘serious’, firmly structured wine, it may have been past its peak when I tasted it in early 2018. (From Supernatural Wine Co.)
