A consistently attractive wine. Estate-grown and hand-picked, the youthful 2018 vintage (4*) was mostly handled in tanks, but 12 per cent of the blend was matured in old barrels. Pale and ripely perfumed, it is mouthfilling and vividly varietal, with fresh pear, lychee and spice flavours, showing very good delicacy and depth, and a dryish (5 grams/litre of residual sugar), smooth finish. Best drinking mid-2019+.
