The 2014 vintage (5*) is a dark, dense blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (75 per cent) and Merlot (25 per cent), matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (40 per cent new). Highly concentrated, with pure blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, showing lovely weight, ripeness and structure, it’s full of cellaring potential. The 2015 vintage (5*) is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (70 per cent) and Merlot (30 per cent), matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (34 per cent new). Boldly coloured, it is still very youthful, with concentrated, ripe blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, seasoned with quality oak, impressive complexity and a finely textured, lasting finish. A very elegant, ‘seamless’ wine, it’s best cellared to 2020+.
