A consistently impressive wine, bargain-priced. Floral, very fresh and lively, the partly barrel-fermented 2016 vintage (5*) was estate-grown in the lower Awatere Valley. Vibrant, with pure, ripe lychee, pear and spice flavours, it has a leesy, nutty complexity and a finely textured, dryish (5.3 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish.
