The bold, deeply coloured, sweet-fruited 2015 vintage (5*) is still youthful. Matured for a year in French oak casks (35 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered, it is rich and fruit-packed, plummy and spicy, showing excellent concentration, structure and complexity. The 2016 vintage (5*) has a sense of hidden depths. Very youthful, it’s a ‘big’ style of Pinot Noir, boldly coloured and sturdy, with dense, plummy, spicy flavours, firm tannins, and a long life ahead. Best drinking 2020+.
