Grown at two sites, in the Awatere Valley and upper Wairau Valley, the 2014 vintage (4.5*) was hand-picked, matured for 11 months in French oak barrels (40 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Deeply coloured, it is mouthfilling, very savoury and generous, with concentrated, ripe, plummy, spicy flavours, showing excellent complexity. Drink now onwards.
