If you are looking for an unoaked, Chablis-style Chardonnay, this North Canterbury beauty is hard to beat. The 2016 vintage (4.5*) is not at all brash, but still full of personality. Pale, with mouthfilling body, it is lemon-scented, very fresh and vibrant, with pure, delicate, citrusy, peachy flavours, lively acidity, a minerally streak, and excellent vigour and length. Fine value.
