Seresin Marama Sauvignon Blanc (2013)

This multi-faceted style of Sauvignon Blanc is hand-picked from the oldest vines in the estate vineyard at Renwick, in Marlborough, fermented with indigenous yeasts in French oak barriques (7 per cent new in 2013), wood-matured for well over a year, and released after a long period of bottle aging. Pale yellow, the 2013 vintage (5*) is fragrant and weighty, with rich, ripe, complex flavours of passionfruit and pineapple, enriched with biscuity oak. Slightly buttery, with a long, dry (2.9 grams/litre of residual sugar), harmonious finish, it’s delicious now. Certified organic.
