Saint Clair James Sinclair Marlborough Chardonnay (2016)

The 2016 vintage (4* ) was grown in the Awatere Valley, fermented and matured in seasoned French and American oak barriques, and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. A drink-now or cellaring proposition, it is fresh and mouthfilling, with balanced acidity, plenty of peachy, slightly toasty flavours, creamy notes, good harmony and lots of drink-young appeal.
