The very classy 2015 vintage (5*) is a single-vineyard red, grown at Parkburn, in the Cromwell Basin. Based entirely on the 10/5 clone, it was fermented with indigenous yeasts and matured for 16 months in French oak casks (33 per cent new). Full, bright ruby, it is mouthfilling, savoury and supple, with generous, ripe cherry, plum and spice flavours, showing lovely depth, complexity and harmony. Finely textured, it’s a very ‘complete’ wine, already drinking well.
