Estate-grown in the Gimblett Gravels, Hawke’s Bay, the 2014 vintage (4*) was matured for 17 months in French and American oak casks (20 per cent new). Full-coloured, it is ripe and savoury, with concentrated blackcurrant, plum and spice flavours, a hint of herbs, good complexity and a finely poised finish.
