Mount Riley Marlborough Pinot Gris (2016)

Offering excellent value, the 2016 vintage (4*) was grown in the Wairau and Awatere valleys and mostly handled in tanks; 10 per cent of the blend was barrel-fermented. It’s a fresh, weighty, finely poised wine, with very good depth of vibrant, strongly varietal pear, lychee and spice flavours, and a dryish (9 grams/litre of residual sugar) finish.
