Haha Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc (2016)

This is a consistently good buy. Grown in the Wairau and Waihopai valleys, the 2016 vintage (4*) was mostly handled in tanks; 3 per cent of the blend was barrel-fermented. Crisp and punchy, it’s a ripely herbaceous wine, with very good intensity of passionfruit/lime flavours, crisp and dry (2 grams/litre of residual sugar). Fine value.
