The 2014 vintage (3.5*), a single-vineyard red, estate-grown in the Bridge Pa Triangle of Hawke’s Bay, was mostly (80 per cent) matured in seasoned French oak barrels. Fullish and slightly developed in colour, it is mouthfilling, with very good depth of ripe plum, berry and spice flavours, showing some complexity. It’s drinking well now.
