The non-vintage batch (4*) I tasted in late 2014 was blended from Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, grown in Gisborne and Hawke’s Bay. Bright pink, it was tight and elegant, with fresh, punchy, strawberry/spice flavours, lively acidity, gentle yeastiness and instant appeal. A great buy.
