The batch of this bottle-fermented sparkling on sale in 2015 (3*) is a blend of Pinot Noir (50 per cent), Chardonnay (43 per cent) and Pinot Meunier (7 per cent), grown in Hawke’s Bay and Marlborough, and disgorged after a minimum of 18 months on its yeast lees. Straw-hued, it is crisp, with satisfying depth of peachy, toasty, slightly nutty flavours, in a moderately complex style with some maturity.
