The 2013 vintage (4*), grown at Kekerengu, south of the Awatere Valley, was mostly fermented in tanks, but a sixth of the blend was hand-picked and barrel-fermented with indigenous yeasts. Made in a bone-dry style, it is has a touch of complexity, with ripe tropical-fruit flavours, slightly spicy and nutty, a minerally streak, and a lingering finish. Ready.
