Woollaston Mahana Nelson Riesling (2013)

The 2013 vintage (4*) was estate-grown at Mahana, picked from low-cropped vines (2.5 tonnes/hectare), and fermented with indigenous yeasts in old oak casks. Attractively scented, it is a mouthfilling, dry style (3 grams/litre of residual sugar), with fresh, strong lemon/lime flavours, a hint of passionfruit, mouth-watering acidity and a long, tangy finish. Still very youthful, it needs time; open 2016+. Certified organic.
