The powerful, dense 2013 vintage (5*) was harvested at over 25 brix, matured in French oak casks (34 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Dark, bold and sweet-fruited, with deep, youthful plum, spice and slight licorice flavours, it is ripe, savoury and complex, with good tannin backbone. A classy young red, it should be at its best 2017+.
