From Te Whare Ra, the 2012 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown at Renwick, hand-harvested from mature vines, matured in large, 600-litre oak barrels (partly new), and given a full, softening malolactic fermentation. Light lemon/green, with an inviting, gently oaked bouquet, it’s a very elegant style, with youthful, citrusy, peachy, slightly mealy and toasty flavours, showing good complexity. Best drinking 2015+.
