Stonyridge Airfield (2010)

Sold as ‘the little brother of our flagship wine, LaRosé’, the 2010 vintage (4*) is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon (43 per cent), Malbec (31 per cent) and Merlot (26 per cent), grown at Onetangi, on Waiheke Island, and matured in French oak casks. Deeply coloured, it is sweet-fruited, with concentrated red-berry and plum flavours, and a good backbone of tannin. It should be long-lived.
