Stoneleigh Latitude Marlborough Merlot (2014)

The debut 2014 vintage (3.5*) was grown in the relatively warm Rapaura district, on the north side of the Wairau Valley, and matured for nine months in French and Hungarian oak barrels. Full-coloured, it is mouthfilling, with very good depth of fresh blackcurrant, plum, dried herb and spice flavours, finely balanced tannins, moderate complexity and lots of drink-young charm. Best drinking mid-2016+.
