The 2010 vintage (4.5*) is a Waiheke Island red, blended from Cabernet Sauvignon (97 per cent) and Malbec (3 per cent). Matured for over a year in French and American oak casks, it is dark and sturdy, with fresh blackcurrant, plum, spice and nut flavours, showing excellent ripeness and richness. A concentrated, firmly structured red, it has obvious cellaring potential.
