From a block in the Omihi Hills home vineyard, the 2012 vintage (4*) is a sturdy, youthful wine, matured in seasoned oak casks. Well worth cellaring, it is full-coloured, with strong, ripe cherry, plum, spice and nut flavours, savoury and complex, and a firm backbone of tannin. Open mid-2015+.
