Neudorf Nelson Pinot Rosé (2014)

The 2013 vintage (5*) is a full-bodied, dry (3.5 grams/litre of residual sugar) style. Made from hand-picked Pinot Noir, grown at Upper Moutere, and handled in tanks (80 per cent) and old French barriques (20 per cent), it is pink/pale red, mouthfilling and crisp, with fresh red-berry and strawberry flavours, slightly spicy, rounded and lingering. A serious, satisfying style of rosé, it should be in peak form during the summer of 2014–15.
