Lone Hill Waitaki Valley Single Vineyard Pinot Gris (2012)

The 2012 vintage (4*) was hand-picked at Otiake, near Kurow, and fermented to near dryness (5 grams/litre of residual sugar). Bright, light lemon/green, with a slightly creamy bouquet, it is mouthfilling, fresh and vibrantly fruity, with good concentration of peachy, slightly spicy flavours and lively acidity. A skilfully made, finely poised wine, it’s well worth cellaring.
