Impromptu Central Otago Pinot Noir (2012)

From Misha’s Vineyard, this wine is made principally for sale by the glass in restaurants and bars. Estate-grown at Bendigo, the 2012 vintage (3.5*) was matured in French oak hogsheads (15 per cent new). Ruby-hued and savoury, with moderately concentrated cherry, plum, spice and dried-herb flavours, it shows good complexity. Drink now onwards.
