Hans Herzog Marlborough Pinot Noir (2010)

The powerful 2010 vintage (4.5*) was estate-grown on the north side of the Wairau Valley, fermented with indigenous yeasts, matured for 18 months in French oak barriques (30 per cent new), and bottled unfined and unfiltered. Full and moderately youthful in colour, it is mouthfilling and savoury, with concentrated, ripe plum, spice, cherry and nut flavours, showing good complexity, moderately firm tannins, and a fragrant bouquet. Best drinking 2016+. Certified organic.
