The 2012 (4.5*) proves that some top reds flowed from the unusually cold, wet season. Dark and fragrant, it has concentrated plum and spice flavours, good complexity and fine-grained, velvety tannins. The 2013 vintage (4.5*) was grown in the Gimblett Gravels and at Te Awanga, and matured in French oak barriques (30 per cent new). Boldly coloured and fragrant, it is rich, with fresh, concentrated plum and spice flavours, oak complexity and a finely textured, lengthy finish.
