Blackenbrook Nelson Muscat (2014)

The 2014 vintage (4*) is a rare example of South Island Muscat (the 2010 was the first). Estate-grown, hand-picked at 22.6 brix and lees-aged in tanks, it is pale and scented, very vibrant and youthful, with good body, poise and richness. Made in an off-dry style (5 grams/litre of residual sugar), it is full-bodied, with lychee, pear and orange flavours, showing excellent purity, delicacy and varietal precision.
