Black Peak Wanaka Central Otago Riesling (2014)

The debut 2014 vintage (4*) is a single-vineyard wine, light (9.2 per cent alcohol), with fresh acidity and gentle sweetness (42 grams/litre residual sugar.) Pale, it shows excellent vibrancy, delicacy and depth, with finely poised, lemony, appley flavours, slightly peachy and spicy, a hint of sherbet, and obvious cellaring potential. Best drinking 2016+.
